Facilities

Ivan Oakes is a semi-primitive campground that offers 24 single family campsites. Campsites have picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilets and potable water are available. Signal Point boat ramp is located less than one mile west of the campground and is usable at low water levels.

Natural Features

Located in the Calapooya Mountains, Ivan Oakes is surrounded by woodland. With close proximity to the Willamette National Forest, the area is home to lots of wildlife. The weather is generally mild during the recreation season with temperatures ranging from the low 50s to the upper 90s. Chances of precipitation are high from May through mid-June.

Recreation

Ivan Oakes Campground is located on the northern shore of Lookout Point Lake in the Calapooya Mountains. The Eugene-to-Pacific Crest Trail (EPCT), a 108 mile long recreation trail that connects the city of Eugene to the Cascade mountain range, runs along the campground providing easy access for hikers. The reservoir is a popular fishing spot with chinook salmon, walleye, rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and crappie.

There are no electricity, water, or sewer site hook-ups at this campground
This campground limits camping to 14 days in any 30 day window.
Two (2) vehicles per site allowed, included with reservation fee as long as vehicles fit on the driveway. No additional vehicles permitted, including visitor vehicles. Extra vehicle passes cannot be purchased. Purchasing campsites for the purpose of obtaining extra vehicle passes and/or parking additional vehicles on the site without occupying the site overnight with camping equipment is prohibited.
Campsite capacity is limited to eight (8) individuals and no additional visitors allowed at the campsite.
