Recreation
The campground is a mile downstream from North Fork Catherine Creek Trailhead, a main portal to the Eagle Cap Wilderness. This trail is open to horses and hikers, and is closed to motorized vehicles and bicycles.
Important notices
During the early spring and late fall, snow conditions may necessitate closing the access road to this facility. For the latest conditions, please call the La Grande Ranger District at (541) 962-8500 or the Whitman Ranger District at (541) 523-6391. You SHOULD receive the lock combination when you receive your reservation confirmation email. If not, please call (541) 962-8500, (541) 523-6391 or (541) 523-1383 to obtain the lock combination. Please bring garbage bags. This facility is "Pack it in, Pack it out." Water is not available. Campground is open for reservations annually, season dates are mid June through the end of October. Please print/save a copy of your reservation receipt and have it with youi to verify payment.
