Tinney Flat Campground is located in scenic Santaquin Canyon, just 9 miles from town at an elevation of 7,000 feet. The campground contains three group sites that can each accommodate up to 50 people. The campground is situated among a dense grove of cottonwood trees, which provide ample shade and pretty fall color.

Facilities

The campground contains three group sites that can each accommodate up to 50 people. Sites are equipped with picnic and serving tables, campfire circles and grills. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. A campground host is on-site. Roads and parking spurs are paved.

Natural Features

The campground is situated among a dense grove of cottonwood trees, which provide ample shade and pretty fall color. Tall evergreens dot the landscape. Summer wildflowers and wildlife are abundant. The campground offers many scenic views of the surrounding Wasatch Range.

Recreation

Santaquin Creek runs alongside the campground, offering rainbow trout fishing. White Pine Hollow and Calkens Hollow Trails begin within the campground.

Nearby Attractions

The Mount Nebo Wilderness Area is adjacent, brimming with beautiful mountain scenery, pristine waters, abundant wildlife, vibrant summer wildflowers and numerous trail opportunities. The Nebo Loop Scenic Byway stretches 37 miles through high alpine terrain, dense forests and colorful meadows. Devil's Kitchen Geological Area can be found along the loop. It offers a 1/2-mile round-trip trail to interesting red rock hoodoos.

There is no water available on site. Please bring all of the water you will need for your stay. Please bring your own drinking water
Dogs or Domestic Pets: Owners must: Control the dog by a leash not to exceed six feet (6’) at all times. -Clean up dog feces immediately. -Limit two dogs per campsite. Do not allow dogs to: -Rush, threaten, or attack people/animals. -Obstruct or interfere with people, vehicles, or property. -Cause damage to vegetation, habitat, or harass wildlife.
If accessing campground from the Nebo Loop, there is one tight curve on the dirt road just above the campground; not recommended for trailers if you're unfamiliar with the road.
