These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kestrel website and service at kestrel-camp.com (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

Kestrel is a campsite availability monitoring service. We check third-party reservation systems (such as Recreation.gov, ReserveCalifornia, and BC Parks) on your behalf and notify you by email when availability matching your criteria is detected.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any campground reservation system. Bookings are made directly on those third-party platforms — Kestrel does not process reservations or payments.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with the Service beyond normal personal use.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.
• Use the Service to facilitate mass-booking, scalping, or other activities that harm the availability of campsites for other users.
• Share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.

5. Alerts and Notifications

We strive to deliver timely and accurate alerts, but we cannot guarantee that every availability window will be detected or that alerts will be delivered before a site is booked. Campsite availability can change within seconds, and we are dependent on third-party systems that we do not control.

You acknowledge that Kestrel is a monitoring tool, not a booking guarantee. We are not liable for missed opportunities resulting from delayed alerts or inaccurate availability data.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code comprising the Service is owned by Kestrel or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kestrel and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
